-NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS-
Offering Virtual Counseling and In-person Sessions
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker that graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Fayetteville State University in 2016 and a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Alabama in 2017. I have worked as a clinician in a variety of outpatient settings including, schools and clinics. I have also worked in child and adult welfare. I served 6 years in the United States Army and enjoy serving my fellow veterans. In my free time I enjoy fishing, swimming, reading, and spending time with family friends.
I have always had a passion to help others both personally and professionally. I have spent the majority of my adult life in service to individuals and families. I have worked with individuals of all ages and I am passionate about fostering an environment for people to feel comfortable and trusting to share work on themselves, families, goals, and struggles. I enjoy working with individuals from LGBTQ+ community and all walks of life. In addition to my profession and passion, I also know what it is like to experience loss, grief, and feelings of disappointment, sadness, and inadequacies.
As a therapist, I view mental and behavioral health as something that is constantly evolving and changing. That makes it fluid to the circumstance of each individual. I believe incorporating strengths-based approach and self-empowerment. I believe that learning to thrive and adapt throughout life’s different challenges can increase personal satisfaction and happiness. I believe each client is unique, and I enjoy collaborating with clients to set meaningful goals as well as steps to reach those goals. I believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is extremely important and look forward to growth happening in my counseling setting.
In my office, I strive to create a space that is inclusive, supportive, non-judgmental, respectful, and safe for each person. My goal is for clients to experience a sense of acceptance, openness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe this allows people to explore life's obstacles in a way that will naturally lead to healing and growth. I understand the challenges of allowing ourselves to share our thoughts and experiences with another person, and it is my goal to walk alongside each client throughout this process.
