-NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS-
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and am working towards licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I hold my Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. As a Social Worker, I have worked in school, non-profit, and comprehensive healthcare settings. Prior to my career as a Social Worker, I proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years. I have the best time with my family, friends, and pets! I also personally cherish any time that I can spend outside, whether that is in my own backyard, hiking one of our many trails in North Alabama or further, playing tennis, or any other time I can get in the fresh air.
I feel called to help people when they are hurting, struggling, or just need to be heard. I enjoy working with both teens and adults and the unique challenges and opportunities that each of these life stages bring. Expectations and decisions can feel overwhelming, but the good news is that you do not have to have all the answers! I would love to walk with you on your journey towards growth and healing.
I firmly believe that we all have the tools we need within us to grow and heal, but sometimes these are either undiscovered, lost, or forgotten. I strive to help clients uncover and nurture their tools that will allow them to thrive. Every person is unique and therefore no two people’s therapy journeys will be the same. Someone who chooses to come to therapy is making a commitment to work towards becoming the truest version of themselves that they possibly can. I strive to meet each person where they are and walk with them through the varying paths of life’s journey.
This is a place where you are safe to share and be yourself. You will not be judged. My office is a calm, welcoming space. When you are here, this is your time and I will honor that with my full effort towards your treatment.
See our Rates Page for more information on the rates of different therapists in our practice and the ways Grand Oaks Counseling is committed to helping individuals for whom finances may prevent access to the care you need.
I am now accepting new clients. If you would like to schedule an appointment or talk further about the ways I could help, call our office at Grand Oaks Counseling (256-542-1482) and ask to schedule with Jeanne. I look forward to hearing from you.
